Former Member of Research Staff at the Department of Computer Science IV of the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, doing research on the MEMSY project.

Research Activities

I'm interested in multiprocessor systems and distributed systems, particularly in those which offer a virtual distributed shared memory. Currently I'm working in the area of application management.

Other Curricular Activities

• Coordinating head of the AoD Team
• Administrator of a part of our local computing environment, including:
  • all SunOS 4.x client machines,
  • parts of our servers (faui45, Lucifer, faui10, faui4_vme2, ...) and
  • the whole MEMSY system.
• Maintainer of the famous 'newbackup' system (together with Thomas Hahn).
• ... and some other minor things.
